Tokunbo Jaiye-Agoro

Managing Partner

Mr. Agoro is the Managing Partner of Jaiye Agoro & Co. He attended Corona School, Apapa, Lagos, Methodist Boys High School Lagos, Bembridge School Isle of Wight England, Thames University London and University of Buckingham, England where he obtained his Law Degree (LLB). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School in 1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990 (BL). He worked with the Law Firm of Abiola A. Oshodi & Co. in Lagos as a trainee for 5 years before joining the family Law Firm of Jaiye Agoro & Co. as an Associate.

He fully assumed responsibility as the Managing Partner of the Firm in 2002, after the demise of his father and founder of the firm Alhaji Hameed Jaiyeola Agoro of blessed memory. Tokunbo Jaiye-Agoro is versatile in many aspects of law but his areas of specialty includes but not limited to Insolvency Practice such as Privatisation, Commercialisation, Liquidation and Receivership, and also Civil, Litigation and Corporate law.

Mr. Jaiye-Agoro is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) (Fellow), International Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Capital Market Solicitors, Section on Business Law of the NBA and also a member of African Forum and Middle Eastern Lawyers of the IBA.

He has also been a Notary Public since 2007. His public service record includes:

  • Member of the Governing Council of The Citizens Mediation Centre. An agency under the Lagos State Ministry of Justice created for indigents access to alternative dispute resolution.
  • Chairman; Lagos State Tennis Association.
  • Fellow; Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators

Mr. Jaiye-Agoro is a regular contributor to the yearly World Bank “Doing Business” series. He has published articles in law and sports, one of which is on Law Firm Management titled “Time for Law Firms to go global” and “the beautiful game with faulty rules”. He is happily married with children.

Oluyemisi O. Oshodi

Partner

Mrs. Oshodi attended the Polytechnic of North Staffordshire, Stoke-on-trent now Staffordshire University in England where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Law L.L.B (Hons) in 1989. She attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to Bar in 1995. She did her Youth Service in the law firm of Abiola Ayinla Oshodi & Co., where she continued as a trainee lawyer until 1998 when she joined the law firm of Jaiye Agoro & Co.

She has remained in active practice with Jaiye Agoro & Co. and her area of expertise includes but not limited to Corporate and Commercial, Land Law, Landlord & Tenancy Law, International Law & Investment, Insolvency law, Privatisation/Commercialisation and Receivership.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association and Capital Market Solicitors. She is married with children.

Quadri O. Aderogba

Senior Associate

Mr. Quadri O. Aderogba attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and graduated with L.L.B. (Hons) Bachelors of Law in 2010. He attended the Nigerian Law School and obtained the B.L and was subsequently called to the Bar in 2012.

Mr. Aderogba has a wide range of experience in Commercial, Civil, Corporate, Litigation, Privatisation law etc. He forms part of the legal team advising the Federal Government of Nigeria on its guided liquidation strategy to dispose of all government shares/interest in the State owned telecommunication company, Nigeria Telecommunications PLC (NITEL) and its subsidiary, Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTEL).

Godwin O. Ubani

Office Manager

Mr. Ubani doubles both as the Legal Secretary and Office Manager of the Firm. He hails from Isi-ala-ngwa North, Abia State, Nigeria. He attended the Lagos State University, Ojo, (2008) where he obtained a Bsc in Public Administration.

He joined the law firm of Jaiye Agoro & Co (Solicitors) in 1995 and has remained with the firm ever since. His area of coverage amongst others include: overseeing the day to day smooth running of the firm, making sure the necessary tools are put in place and in order. He is also in charge of the firm’s secretariat and coordinates the clerical department of the firm. He is a member of NAPAS (National Association of Public Administrators).

He is married with children.
